Vielleicht haben Sie schon einmal den Klang eines Tamburins mit Saiten gehört, der bei einem Gascon-Ball oder einem Karneval geschlagen wird. Im Okzitanisch wird dieses Musikinstrument auch "tom-tom" genannt, in Bezug auf den Klang, den es erzeugt. Ein altes Instrument, das für die Pyrenäenebene von Bedeutung ist und seit dem Mittelalter bekannt ist, zeugt es von einer immer noch lebendigen musikalischen Tradition.

Perhaps you have already heard the sound of a string tambourine struck during a Gascon ball or carnival. In Occitan, this musical instrument is also called "tom-tom", in reference to the sound it produces. An ancient instrument, emblematic of the Pyrenean foothills, it has been known since the Middle Ages and bears witness to a musical tradition that is still alive.
