Im Jahr 2024 führte das Nationale Institut für präventive archäologische Forschung (Inrap) eine vorbeugende Ausgrabung in Ruyaulcourt durch, im Rahmen der Erschließung des Seine-Nord-Europa-Kanals. Diese hat eine archäologische Stätte von großem Reichtum freigelegt. Von der Zweiten Eisenzeit, ab 400 v. Chr., bis zum Unterreich im 4. Jahrhundert, enthüllen sich mehrere Jahrhunderte Geschichte durch die Überreste von Siedlungen, Grabstätten und sogar die Spuren einer besonders interessanten metallurgischen Tätigkeit aus dem 1. bis 3. Jahrhundert.
Anlässlich der Europäischen Tage des Kulturerbes werden Frédéric Simon, Verantwortlicher für archäologische Forschungen bei Inrap, und sein Team auf die Entdeckungen dieser bemerkenswerten Stätte zurückkommen.

In 2024, the National Institute for Preventive Archaeological Research (INRAP) conducted a preventive excavation at Ruyaulcourt, as part of the development of the Canal Seine-Nord Europe. This revealed an archaeological site of great richness. From the Second Iron Age, as early as 400 BC, to the Lower Empire in the 4th century, several centuries of history are revealed through remains of habitats, burial spaces and even traces of a particularly interesting metallurgical activity, dating from the 1st-3rd centuries.
On the occasion of the European Heritage Days, Frédéric Simon, head of archaeological research at INRAP, and his team will review the findings of this remarkable site.

Nel 2024, l'Istituto nazionale di ricerche archeologiche preventive (Inrap) ha condotto un'escavazione preventiva a Ruyaulcourt, nell'ambito degli sviluppi del canale Seine-Nord Europe. Questo ha rivelato un sito archeologico di grande ricchezza. Dalla seconda età del ferro, dal 400 a.C., fino al Basso Impero nel IV secolo, diversi secoli di storia si svelano attraverso i resti degli habitat, gli spazi funerari e persino le tracce di un'attività metallurgica particolarmente interessante, datata ai secoli I-III.
In occasione delle Giornate europee del patrimonio, Frédéric Simon, responsabile della ricerca archeologica presso l'Inrap, e il suo team ripercorreranno le scoperte di questo sito straordinario.

En 2024, l'Institut national de recherches archéologiques préventives (Inrap) a mené une fouille préventive à Ruyaulcourt, dans le cadre des aménagements du Canal Seine-Nord Europe. Celle-ci a permis de révéler un site archéologique d’une grande richesse. Du Second âge du Fer, dès 400 avant notre ère, jusqu’au Bas-Empire au IVe siècle, plusieurs siècles d’histoire se dévoilent à travers des vestiges d’habitats, des espaces funéraires et même les traces d’une activité métallurgique particulièrement intéressante, datée des Ier-IIIe siècles.
À l'occasion des Journées européennes du patrimoine, Frédéric Simon, responsable de recherches archéologiques à l'Inrap, et son équipe reviendront sur les découvertes de ce site remarquable.

En 2024, el Instituto Nacional de Investigaciones Arqueológicas Preventivas (INRAP) llevó a cabo una excavación preventiva en Ruyaulcourt, como parte del desarrollo del Canal Seine-Nord Europe. Ésta permitió revelar un sitio arqueológico de gran riqueza. Desde la Segunda Edad de Hierro, desde el 400 a. C., hasta el Bajo Imperio en el siglo IV, varios siglos de historia se revelan a través de vestigios de hábitats, espacios funerarios e incluso las huellas de una actividad metalúrgica particularmente interesante, datada del siglo I al III.
Con motivo de las Jornadas europeas del patrimonio, Frédéric Simon, responsable de investigaciones arqueológicas en el Inrap, y su equipo volverán a los descubrimientos de este sitio notable.
