On the occasion of the European Heritage Days, discover the works of Nicolaï Greschny thanks to a circuit linking several emblematic sites of the Comminges. A great opportunity to travel the territory, admire monumental frescoes of Byzantine inspiration and discover the architectural heritage of each village.At the Saint-Pierre du Cuing church , entirely decorated by Nicolaï Greschny in 1949, the biblical scenes rub shoulders with characters and landscapes inspired by local life, in a style combining Byzantine tradition and modernity.The chapel of Saint-Jean-des-Vignes , in Saint-Plancard, preserves valuable Romanesque frescoes from the 11th century, exceptional testimony to medieval painting in Comminges. Nearby, the baptismal font of the Saint-Pancrace church is decorated with frescoes by Nicolaï Greschny illustrating in particular the Creation and Baptism of Christ.Saint-Jean de Ponlat chapel , the choir entirely painted by the artist retraces the life of Saint John the Baptist.
