Im 12. Jahrhundert ließ der Herzog von Lothringen Thierry II. die Kirche Saint-Nicolas errichten, die über der Stadt Neufchâteau thront und durch ihre untypische Architektur beeindruckt: Die obere Kirche wird auf dem Hügel von einer romanischen Krypta gestützt. Die zahlreichen Kapellen, die im 15. und 16. Jahrhundert hinzugefügt wurden, machen diese Kirche imposant und beeindruckend.

In the 12th century, the Duke of Lorraine Thierry II built the church of Saint-Nicolas which overlooks the town of Neufchâteau and impresses with its atypical architecture: the upper church is supported at the top of the hill by a Romanesque crypt. The many chapels that were added to it in the 15th and 16th centuries make this church imposing and impressive.
