"Folie" montpellienne einst außerhalb der Mauern gelegen, wurde das Hotel Haguenot zwischen 1751 und 1760 von Jean-Antoine Giral, dem späteren Architekten der Promenade royale du Peyrou, für Henri Haguenot, den Dekan der medizinischen Fakultät in Montpellier, erbaut.
Eingebettet in das Herz eines terrassierten Gartens, bewachsen und von Brunnen erfrischt, öffnet es sich weit nach außen durch zahlreiche Fenstertüren.
Die Inneneinrichtung, ein Werk des aus der Region stammenden und ebenfalls im Schloss von Versailles tätigen Roubieu, besteht aus Gipsfiguren, die das Leben auf dem Feld darstellen.

"Folie" montpelliéraine formerly located outside the walls, the hotel Haguenot was built between 1751 and 1760 by Jean-Antoine Giral, future architect of the Royal Promenade du Peyrou, for Henri Haguenot, dean of the faculty of medicine of Montpellier.
Nestled in the heart of a terraced garden, planted with trees and refreshed by fountains, it opens widely to the outside through many doors.
The interior decoration, work of Roubieu, originally from the region and also intervened at the Palace of Versailles, consists of gypseries representing life in the fields.

"Folie" montpellienne, un tempo situata fuori dalle mura, l'hotel Haguenot fu costruito tra il 1751 e il 1760 da Jean-Antoine Giral, futuro architetto della Promenade royale du Peyrou, per Henri Haguenot, decano della facoltà di medicina di Montpellier.
Immerso in un giardino terrazzato, alberato e rinfrescato da fontane, si apre ampiamente verso l'esterno con numerose porte-finestre.
La decorazione interna, opera di Roubieu, originario della regione e intervenuto anche al castello di Versailles, è composta da gipserie che rappresentano la vita nei campi.

Niché au cœur d’un jardin en terrasses, arboré et rafraîchi par des fontaines, il s’ouvre largement vers l’extérieur par de nombreuses portes-fenêtres.
La décoration intérieure, œuvre de Roubieu, originaire de la région et également intervenu au château de Versailles, se compose de gypseries représentant la vie aux champs.
