16h–17h30: Discussion around art spaces
With Ymane Fakhir (Daret residence), Yasmine Rifaii (Haven for Artists) and Nour Amrani (Nessij Collective), moderated by Horya Makhlouf.
What can an art space do in a context of crisis? What does it mean to open a space, to bring it to life, to be welcomed there or to share it? Between research, creation and presentation, between the intimacy of the studio and public exhibition, how can we imagine working conditions that allow artists and their audiences to remain sustainable? By bringing together Haven for Artists in Beirut, the collective Nessij in Tunis and Daret in Casablanca, this roundtable questions the role of physical spaces in the construction of artistic communities and the circulation of practices. From a place of refuge to hospitality between spaces and residence as a tool for meeting and networking, exchanges will open a reflection on the ways of practicing, reinventing and updating art venues, but also on the forms of solidarity and mobility that they make possible.

16-17:30: Discussione sugli spazi artistici
