Theateraufführung der Erzählung vom großen Brand von Sézanne im Jardin du Prétoire (drinnen bei schlechtem Wetter).

Am 10. und 11. Januar 1632 verwüstete ein außergewöhnlich heftiger Brand einen großen Teil von Sézanne, wobei mehrere hundert Fachwerkhäuser sowie zahlreiche öffentliche und religiöse Gebäude zerstört wurden. Angetrieben von eng aneinandergereihten Holzbauten, veränderte das Feuer nachhaltig das Gesicht der Stadt. Der anschließende Wiederaufbau führte nach und nach zu einer widerstandsfähigeren Architektur, die einen bedeutenden Meilenstein in der Geschichte und dem Erbe von Sézanne darstellte.

On 10 and 11 January 1632, a fire of exceptional violence ravaged much of Sézanne, destroying several hundred half-timbered houses, as well as many public and religious buildings. Fueled by closely spaced wooden constructions, the fire permanently transformed the face of the city. The reconstruction that followed gradually gave rise to a more resistant architecture, marking a major step in the history and heritage of Sézanne.

Il 10 e l'11 gennaio 1632, un incendio di una violenza eccezionale devastò gran parte di Sézanne, distruggendo diverse centinaia di case a graticcio, così come numerosi edifici pubblici e religiosi. Alimentato da costruzioni in legno molto vicine, il fuoco ha trasformato durevolmente il volto della città. La ricostruzione che seguì diede progressivamente vita ad un'architettura più resistente, segnando una tappa importante nella storia e nel patrimonio di Sézanne.

Les 10 et 11 janvier 1632, un incendie d’une violence exceptionnelle ravagea une grande partie de Sézanne, détruisant plusieurs centaines de maisons à colombages, ainsi que de nombreux bâtiments publics et religieux. Alimenté par des constructions en bois très rapprochées, le feu transforma durablement le visage de la ville. La reconstruction qui suivit donna progressivement naissance à une architecture plus résistante, marquant une étape majeure dans l’histoire et le patrimoine de Sézanne.

Alimentado por construcciones de madera muy cercanas, el fuego transformó duraderamente el rostro de la ciudad. La reconstrucción que siguió dio paso progresivamente a una arquitectura más resistente, marcando una etapa importante en la historia y el patrimonio de Sézanne.
