Die immateriellen Werke existierten schon immer, kannten aber einfach nicht die gleiche Bekanntheit wie die Statuen oder Gemälde. Heute sind sie perfekt in den Kunstmarkt integriert und ein integraler Bestandteil der Sammlungen des Frac. Wenn ihr Kauf und ihre Verbreitung jedoch einfach sind, stellen sie unser Verhältnis zur Sammlung und zur Materialität auf die Probe, denn wie können wir das bewahren, was man nicht erfassen oder berühren kann? Man muss sie also angehen, indem man ein unvermeidliches Verschwinden jeder Aktivierung akzeptiert und sich auf das kollektive Gedächtnis verlässt, damit sie nicht in Vergessenheit geraten.

Immaterial works have always existed, but simply did not enjoy the same notoriety as statues or paintings. Today, they have perfectly integrated the art market and are an integral part of the collections of the Frac. However, if their purchase and distribution is easy, they test our relationship to the collection and materiality, because how can we preserve what we cannot grasp or touch? It is then necessary to approach them by accepting an inevitable disappearance of each activation, and by relying on the collective memory to allow them not to fall into oblivion.

Le opere immateriali sono sempre esistite, ma non conoscevano semplicemente la stessa notorietà delle statue o dei dipinti. Oggi sono perfettamente integrate nel mercato dell'arte e fanno parte delle collezioni del Frac. Tuttavia, se il loro acquisto e la loro diffusione sono facili, esse mettono alla prova il nostro rapporto con la collezione e la materialità, perché come preservare ciò che non si può cogliere o toccare? Bisogna quindi affrontarli accettando un'inevitabile scomparsa di ogni attivazione, e contando sulla memoria collettiva per permettere loro di non cadere nell'oblio.

Les œuvres immatérielles ont toujours existé, mais ne connaissaient tout simplement pas la même notoriété que les statues ou peintures. Aujourd'hui, elles ont parfaitement intégré le marché de l'art et font partie intégrante des collections du Frac. Cependant, si leur achat et leur diffusion est aisée, celles-ci mettent à l'épreuve notre rapport à la collection et à la matérialité, car comment préserver ce que l'on ne peut pas saisir ni toucher ? Il convient alors de les aborder en acceptant une inéluctable disparition de chaque activation, et en comptant sur la mémoire collective pour leur permettre de ne pas tomber dans l'oubli.

Las obras inmateriales siempre han existido, pero simplemente no conocían la misma notoriedad que las estatuas o pinturas. Hoy están perfectamente integradas al mercado del arte y forman parte de las colecciones del FRAC. Sin embargo, si su compra y difusión son fáciles, éstas ponen a prueba nuestra relación con la colección y la materialidad, pues ¿cómo preservar lo que no se puede captar ni tocar? Conviene entonces abordarlos aceptando una inevitable desaparición de cada activación, y contando con la memoria colectiva para que no caigan en el olvido.
