"I Paddle My Canoe 3 Meters Below Civilisation" of Michel Klöfkorn
Labo Competition
12 new experimental short films, breaking free from conventional narrative codes and exploring a wide range of techniques, are competing for the Centre d’Art Contemporain Genève Award. The prize is awarded by a jury of Visual Communication students from HEAD – Genève. The members of this same jury are also the creators of our 2026 trailers, produced under the guidance of Raman Djafari!
During this evening, contemporary art flirts with animation: the films explore the future and modernity, while images play with our senses, liquefying, vibrating and multiplying like musical scores.
About the Nature of Darkness takes us deep into a nocturnal forest, where darkness becomes almost tangible, opening onto the depths of our imagination. A poetic exploration of darkness, somewhere between earthly space and cosmic vertigo.
The In-The-Head Film journeys through a neurodivergent mind, where memories, obsessions and fantasies collide in a whirlwind of images and voices.
✨ LET YOURSELF BE CARRIED AWAY BY 12 FASCINATING WORKS AT THE CROSSROADS OF ANIMATION AND CONTEMPORARY ART! 🎬🌀🎨
You can then discover the selection again at the ARCADE of the Centre d’Art Contemporain Genève (1 rue Chantepoulet), from Tuesday 6 to Sunday 11 October 2026, 1–6 pm.
