CinéCCI: Box-office hit Cardboard Gangsters
Post-screening Q&A with Conor Murphy, Filmbase, Ireland
Bursting with raw realism, Carboard Gangsters is a confident and visceral film that has been highly successful in Ireland this summer. A crime drama set in Darndale housing estate in Dublin, it unfolds at breakneck speed as four small-time drug dealers decide to up their game and challenge local heavy criminal Derra Murphy. Directed by Mark O’Connor, Cardboard Gangsters stars John Connors (Love/Hate), Fionn Walton (Out of Here, What Richard Did) and Kierston Wareing (Fish Tank, EastEnders)
