Katherine Hamon wurde am 18. Dezember 1949 in Paris geboren Aus einer Künstlerfamilie war ihr Vater Musikkritikerin und ihr Großvater Malerin, sie folgte dem Weg als Pianistin und Malerin. 1971 begleitete sie mit Klavier und Gesang den Sänger Jacques Yvart in Bobino im ersten Teil eines Konzerts von Georges Brassens. 1975 tourte sie mit Jacques Yvart an der Ostküste der Universitäten durch die Vereinigten Staaten. Seit 1985, viele Jahre lang, ist sie Musikerin in der "Rural Band " und nimmt am Festival von Vans (Ardèche) teil. Aber es ist vor allem in der Malerei, die sie blüht, Ölmalerei und Trockenpastell. Zur gleichen Zeit 1987 entdeckte sie den Computer und begann mit der Erforschung dieses neuen Tools. D'une famille d'artistes, son père était critique musical et son grand-père peintre, elle a suivi le chemin en tant que pianiste et peintre.
En 1971, elle accompagne au piano et au chant le chanteur Jacques Yvart à Bobino en première partie d'un concert de Georges Brassens
En 1975, elle fait une tournée aux Etats Unis avec Jacques Yvart, sur la côte Est dans les universités.
A partir de 1985, durant de nombreuses années, elle est musicienne au sein du " rural band " en participant au festival de Vans ( Ardèche)
Mais c'est surtout dans la peinture qu'elle s'épanouit, peinture à l'huile et pastel sec. En même temps, en 1987, elle découvre l'ordinateur et commence l'exploration de ce nouvel outil. Avec son ami Jean luc Touillon,, elle participe à de nombreuses expositions pour le compte du Studio graphique d'Apple France dans plusieurs salons : Palais de Tokio, Grand Palais, Festival de Lures ...... Elle travaille aussi comme indépendante dans le dessin éditorial, la publicité et la presse. Ces travaux sont publiés en France, aux Etats-Unis, au Japon et en Amérique latine
Son amour des voyages la conduit à faire des expositions en Guadeloupe, aux Etats-Unis, à Santa Monica et en Equateur où elle travaille à partir de 1995 pour l'agence " Tekky company " avec Alain gilles Bastide et Maria mercedes Salgado. Elle donne des cours de peinture digitale sur Painter dans différentes universités à Quito et dans le département d'architecture de l'université de Cuenca. Parallèlement, elle fait des expositions sous le titre " Huiles, pastels et peintures digitales " au Palosanto à Guyaquil, à l'alliance française de Cuenca ou encore pour les élèves des beaux arts à à la maison d ela culture de Quito. A Cuba, elle participe au Congrès international d'informatique où elle fait des conférences.
De retour en France en 1998, elle s'installe en Normandie où elle peint et enseigne les programmes graphiques PAO et multimedia.. Elle travaille dans plusieurs établissements: Ecole multimedia, Art sup Institute, , la société ITC pour les PME, le Comité 21( Environnement et développement durable) et elle participe au " Creators night ", peinture live à la Coupole à Paris, à Barcelone et à Milan.
