Wir schlagen vor, eine weitere wichtige Dimension unseres Gebäudes ins Licht zu stellen: die Restaurierung der Kapelle des Carmes, heute Kirche des Thabor.
Diese Kapelle, die zwischen 1860 und 1867 (am 5. April 1867 geweiht) im neugotischen Stil erbaut wurde, ist der einzige Überrest des Klosters der Karmeliter von Rennes. Sie durchlief mehrere Schicksale - Schule, Krankenhaus, Kantine, sogar Kultstätte während der Besatzung - bevor sie aufgegeben wurde
Die Kirche wurde 1998 von der Evangelischen Gemeinschaft erworben und von 2002 bis 2015 renoviert
Diese monumentale Baustelle wurde hauptsächlich von motivierten Freiwilligen getragen, die mehr als 13 Jahre Arbeit und über 60.000 Stunden investiert haben
Die ehemalige Karmelkapelle, die heute zur Kirche von Thabor geworden ist, wurde durch geduldige Hände und das großzügige Herz der Freiwilligen wiederbelebt. Mehr als 13 Jahre Restaurierung haben diese vergessenen Steine in ein lebendiges Heiligtum verwandelt, das für Kult und Kultur offen ist. Ein rettendes Erbe, das allen als lebendige Erinnerung angeboten wird. Dank dieses Engagements erwacht die Kapelle wieder zum Leben: Sie beherbergt nun den Kult und öffnet auch ihre Türen für Kultur - Konzerte, Konferenzen, Rezitationen - an einem Ort, der Spiritualität und Kulturgut vereint
Unter dem weichen Licht der Glasfenster werden auch die bemerkenswerten architektonischen Elemente des Gebäudes hervorgehoben: schlichte und vertikale Linien, liturgische Möbel, bunte Glasfenster und Taufkapelle, Zeugen von der protestantischen Ästhetik und ihrer Verbundenheit mit Einfachheit und Licht. Die Besucher können so den Reichtum eines Erbes schätzen, in dem sich geistiges Erbe, lokale Geschichte und künstlerischer Ausdruck treffen.

This chapel, built in a neo-Gothic style between 1860 and 1867 (blessed on April 5, 1867), is the only vestige of the convent of the Discalced Carmelites of Rennes. She went through several destinies — college, hospital, canteen, same place of worship during the Occupation—before being left abandoned
Acquired in 1998 by the Evangelical Community, its renovation lasted from 2002 to 2015
This monumental project was essentially carried out by motivated volunteers, cumulating more than 13 years of work for more than 60,000 hours invested
Former chapel of the Carmelites, now the Church of Thabor, this place has come to life thanks to the patient hands and generous heart of volunteers. More than thirteen years of restoration have transformed these forgotten stones into a living sanctuary, open to worship and culture. A saved heritage, offered to all, like a memory that still breathes. Thanks to this commitment, the chapel is fully reborn: now welcoming worship, it also opens its doors to culture — concerts, conferences, recitals—in a place that combines spirituality and heritage
Under the soft light of the stained glass windows, the tour also highlights the remarkable architectural elements of the building: sober and vertical lines, liturgical furniture, colorful stained glass and baptistery, which bear witness to the Protestant aesthetic and its attachment to simplicity and light. Visitors will thus be able to appreciate the richness of a heritage where spiritual heritage, local history and artistic expression meet.

Questa cappella, costruita in stile neogotico tra il 1860 e il 1867 (benedetta il 5 aprile 1867), è l'unica vestigia del convento dei Carmelitani scalzi di Rennes. Ha attraversato diversi destini - collegio, ospedale, mensa, anche luogo di culto durante l'occupazione - prima di essere abbandonata
Acquistata nel 1998 dalla Comunità Evangelica, la sua ristrutturazione è durata dal 2002 al 2015
Questo cantiere monumentale è stato portato principalmente da volontari motivati, accumulando oltre 13 anni di lavoro per più di 60.000 ore investite
Antica cappella delle Carmine, diventata Chiesa del Tabor, questo luogo ha ritrovato vita grazie alle mani pazienti e al cuore generoso di volontari. Più di tredici anni di restauro hanno trasformato queste pietre dimenticate in un santuario vivo, aperto al culto e alla cultura. Un patrimonio salvato, offerto a tutti, come una memoria che ancora respira.Grazie a questo impegno la cappella rinasce pienamente: accogliendo ormai il culto, apre anche le sue porte alla cultura - concerti, conferenze, recital - in un luogo che coniuga spiritualità e patrimonio
Sotto la luce soffusa delle vetrate, il percorso mette in evidenza anche gli elementi architettonici notevoli dell'edificio: linee sobrie e verticali, mobilio liturgico, vetrate colorate e battistero, che testimoniano l'estetica protestante e il suo attaccamento alla semplicità e alla luce. In questo modo i visitatori potranno apprezzare la ricchezza di un patrimonio che unisce eredità spirituale, storia locale ed espressione artistica.

Acquise en 1998 par la Communauté évangélique, sa rénovation a duré de 2002 à 2015
Ce chantier monumental a été essentiellement porté par des bénévoles motivés, cumulant plus de 13 années de travaux pour plus de 60 000 heures investies
Ancienne chapelle des Carmes, devenue Église du Thabor, ce lieu a retrouvé vie grâce aux mains patientes et au cœur généreux de bénévoles. Plus de treize années de restauration ont transformé ces pierres oubliées en un sanctuaire vivant, ouvert au culte et à la culture. Un patrimoine sauvé, offert à tous, comme une mémoire qui respire encore.Grâce à cet engagement, la chapelle renaît pleinement : accueillant désormais le culte, elle ouvre aussi ses portes à la culture — concerts, conférences, récitals — dans un lieu qui allie spiritualité et patrimoine
Sous la lumière douce des vitraux, le parcours met également en évidence les éléments architecturaux remarquables de l’édifice : lignes sobres et verticales, mobilier liturgique, vitraux colorés et baptistère, qui témoignent de l’esthétique protestante et de son attachement à la simplicité et à la lumière. Les visiteurs pourront ainsi apprécier la richesse d’un patrimoine où se rencontrent héritage spirituel, histoire locale et expression artistique.

Antigua capilla de los Carmelitas, convertida en Iglesia del Tabor, este lugar ha recobrado vida gracias a las manos pacientes y al corazón generoso de voluntarios. Más de trece años de restauración han convertido estas piedras olvidadas en un santuario vivo, abierto al culto y a la cultura. Un patrimonio salvado, ofrecido a todos, como una memoria que aún respira.Gracias a este compromiso, la capilla renace plenamente: acogiendo ahora el culto, abre también sus puertas a la cultura - conciertos, conferencias, recitales - en un lugar que combina espiritualidad y patrimonio
Bajo la luz suave de las vidrieras, el recorrido también destaca los elementos arquitectónicos notables del edificio: líneas sobrias y verticales, mobiliario litúrgico, vitrales coloridos y baptisterio, que atestiguan la estética protestante y su apego a la sencillez y a la luz. Los visitantes podrán apreciar la riqueza de un patrimonio donde se encuentran el legado espiritual, la historia local y la expresión artística.
