In 2025, presented for the first time outside of the exhibition space of the Centre – currently under renovation – the show will take place at Le Commun, a space provided by the City of Geneva.
Since 1955, the City of Geneva has awarded two grants to support young contemporary artists in the fields of visual and applied arts. Each grant is worth CHF 10,000 and is intended for artists under 35 years of age, offering them the opportunity to develop personal research or to pursue studies, for example abroad. In parallel with the City of Geneva’s global reflection on the remuneration of artists, their working conditions and their recognition as professionals in a more general way, it was decided to allocate to each artist invited to exhibit an artist fee of CHF 3000 for production costs.
These grants are an important part of the City of Geneva’s commitment to the promotion and support of artists. The exhibition is the fruit of a collaboration with the Centre d’Art Contemporain Genève who welcomes the artist’s projects in an original show adapted to each edition.
Ten artists and designers have been selected to exhibit their work from September 3 to October 5, 2025 at the Commun:
Robyn Baumgartner
Marlène Charpentié
Tristan Cubero et Anja Ripoll
Alice Franchetti
Vytas Jankauskas
Matheline Marmy
Yoan Mudry
Luca Rizzo
Caroline Schattling Villeval
Jeanne Tara
Opening and announcement of the laureates on September 2nd, 2025, from 6pm.
