The July 14th fireworks in Bordeaux 2024
Feel the magic in the air
As every year, Bordeaux prepares many festivities for the national holiday of July 14th. At the head of the line, the famous and traditional fireworks is also scheduled.
Lasting about twenty minutes, it will be launched over the Garonne for a magical show and music! Respecting its eco-responsible commitments, the products used for the explosions have been chosen to reduce CO2 emissions.
Ceremony & parade
Usually, the fireworks are preceded by the 14 July ceremony and parade on the Place des Quinconces. Throughout the evening, lots of animations are set to entertain the visitors. Both banks of the Garonne host musical events with concerts and dj sets.
Program
Saturday, July 13
Join us for the traditional fire department balls, which this year will take place in two locations:
- Bal des Pompiers de Bordeaux Nord-Bruges on Quai des Chartrons from 6.30pm to 2am
- Bal pirate d'Ornano in front of the Caserne Ornano from 6pm to 4am.
Sunday, July 14th
- From 7pm to 8:30pm, a ceremony and military parade will be held on the Place des Quinconces with the Prefecture and the Ministry of the Armed Forces.
- From 7pm, Bordelais are invited to picnic on both banks of the Garonne, Prairie des Girondins and Allées Serr. Takeaway food will be available on site.
- At 10:30pm, a 20-minute eco-responsible fireworks display by Ruggieri will be fired from a barge on the Garonne opposite the Miroir d'Eau.
- Entertainment, karaoke, concerts and DJ sets are scheduled before and after the fireworks until 1am.
Fireworks
A fireworks display by Ruggieri, specialists in the design of pyrotechnic shows since the 18th century, will amaze the people of Bordeaux.
- Fireworks will be launched from a barge on the Garonne opposite the Miroir d'Eau at 10.30pm.
