Das Programm "Die Gebiete der Fotografie: Kunst, Industrie & Erinnerungen" verbindet zeitgenössische Fotografie mit industriellen Archiven und hebt dabei die Erinnerungen der Arbeiter und Migranten des Gebiets von Mulhouse und des Kalibeckens hervor.
Durch die Residenz von Jenia Fridlyand im Kalibecken und eine Ausstellung, an der sich die Masterstudenten der HEAR (Haute école des Arts du Rhin) beteiligen, beleuchtet das Projekt wenig bekannte Fotografien aus Archiven der industriellen Welt. im Dialog mit neuen Bildern, die 2026/27 von den Fotografen Jenia Fridlyand und den Studenten der HEAR produziert wurden. Jenia Fridlyands Arbeit, die in der großformatigen Kammer durchgeführt wird, hinterfragt das Gedächtnis, den Lauf der Zeit und die menschliche Spur in industriellen Landschaften. Die Ausstellung zielt darauf ab, Vergangenheit und Gegenwart der kollektiven Vorstellungskraft der Arbeiter- und Migrationserinnerungen zu teilen.
Die 1975 in Moskau geborene Jenia Fridlyand ist Fotografin und Lehrerin mit Sitz in New York und im Hudson Valley. Seine Fotografien und Bücher wurden in den USA und im Ausland ausgestellt. Sein Künstlerbuch Entrance to Our Valley wurde 2017 für den Paris Photo - Aperture First Photobook Award ausgewählt, und die kommerzielle Edition (TIS Books) ist dabei, zum dritten Mal gedruckt zu werden. Seine anschließenden Arbeiten wurden 2023 in einer Einzelausstellung in der Fototeca de Cuba in Havanna gezeigt und werden demnächst als Monographie mit dem Titel Mango Season (the Agency / Steidl) veröffentlicht. Sie wird von der Galerie Wouter van Leeuwen in Amsterdam vertreten.
Jenia Fridlyand ist die Mitbegründerin von Image Threads, einem gemeinnützigen Bildungsteam, und leitet das Long Term Photobook Program der Penumbra Foundation in New York. Sie studierte Fotografie am Iris-Zentrum und an der Universität Paris VIII. und hat einen Master of Fine Arts des internationalen Limited Residency Programms der Universität Hartford.
Die Studenten des HEAR-Masterstudiengangs Kunst werden von ihren Fotografie- und Videoprofessoren Anne Immelé und Zoé Inch begleitet.

The program "The territories of photography: Art, Industry & Memories" crosses contemporary photography and industrial archives, highlighting the workers' and migratory memories of the territory of Mulhouse and the potash basin.
Through Jenia Fridlyand’s residency in the potash basin, an exhibition involving students from the Master of Art at HEAR (Haute école des Arts du Rhin), the project highlights little-known photographs from archives from the industrial world, dialogues with new images produced in 2026/27 by photographers Jenia Fridlyand and students from the HEAR. The work of Jenia Fridlyand realized in the large-format room questions memory, the passage of time and human traces in industrial landscapes. The exhibition aims to share the past and present of the collective imagination of workers' and migrants' memories.
Born in 1975 in Moscow, Jenia Fridlyand is a photographer and teacher based in New York and the Hudson Valley. His photographs and books have been exhibited in the US and abroad. His artist book Entrance to Our Valley was selected for the Paris Photo – Aperture First Photobook Award in 2017, and the commercial edition (TIS Books) is in its third printing. His subsequent work was the subject of a solo exhibition at the Fototeca de Cuba in Havana in 2023 and will soon be published as a monograph, Mango Season (the Agency / Steidl). She is represented by the Wouter van Leeuwen Gallery, Amsterdam.
Jenia Fridlyand is the co-founder of Image Threads, a non-profit educational collective, and chairs the Penumbra Foundation’s Long Term Photobook Program in New York. She studied photography at the Iris Center and at the University of Paris VIII, and holds a master’s degree in fine arts from the international limited residency program of the University of Hartford.
The students of the HEAR Master’s in Art are accompanied by their photography and video teachers, Anne Immelé and Zoé Inch.

Il programma "I territori della fotografia: arte, industria e memorie" incrocia la fotografia contemporanea con gli archivi industriali, mettendo in evidenza le memorie operaie e migratorie del territorio di Mulhouse e del bacino potassico.
Attraverso la residenza di Jenia Fridlyand nel bacino potassico, una mostra che riunisce gli studenti del Master Art della HEAR (Haute école des Arts du Rhin), il progetto mette in luce fotografie poco conosciute provenienti da archivi del mondo industriale, messe in dialogo con nuove immagini prodotte nel 2026/27 dai fotografi Jenia Fridlyand e dagli studenti della HEAR. Il lavoro di Jenia Fridlyand realizzato nella camera grande formato interroga la memoria, il passaggio del tempo e la traccia umana nei paesaggi industriali. L'esposizione si propone di condividere passato e presente dell'immaginario collettivo delle memorie operaie e migratorie.

Le programme « Les territoires de la photographie : Art, Industrie & Mémoires » croise photographie contemporaine et archives industrielles, en mettant en valeur les mémoires ouvrières et migratoires du territoire de Mulhouse et du bassin potassique.
Par le biais de la résidence de Jenia Fridlyand dans le bassin potassique, d’une exposition associant les étudiants du Master Art de la HEAR (Haute école des Arts du Rhin), le projet met en lumière des photographies peu connues issues d’archives du monde industriel, mises en dialogue avec de nouvelles images produites en 2026/27 par les photographes Jenia Fridlyand et les étudiant.es de la HEAR. Le travail de Jenia Fridlyand réalisé à la chambre grand format interroge la mémoire, le passage du temps et la trace humaine dans les paysages industriels. L’exposition vise à partager passé et présent de l’imaginaire collectif des mémoires ouvrières et migratoires.

El programa «Los territorios de la fotografía: arte, industria y memorias» cruza la fotografía contemporánea con los archivos industriales, poniendo en valor las memorias obreras y migratorias del territorio de Mulhouse y de la cuenca potásica.
A través de la residencia de Jenia Fridlyand en la cuenca potásica, una exposición que reúne a los estudiantes del Máster de Arte de la HEAR (Escuela Superior de las Artes del Rin), el proyecto pone de relieve fotografías poco conocidas procedentes de archivos del mundo industrial, puestas en diálogo con nuevas imágenes producidas en 2026/27 por los fotógrafos Jenia Fridlyand y los estudiantes de la HEAR. El trabajo de Jenia Fridlyand realizado en la cámara gran formato interroga la memoria, el paso del tiempo y la huella humana en los paisajes industriales. La exposición tiene como objetivo compartir pasado y presente del imaginario colectivo de las memorias obreras y migratorias.
