Vence ist gerade das Objekt von bedeutenden archäologischen Entdeckungen für die Geschichte der Stadt, aber auch für die Gebiete der Alpes-Maritimes und der kirchlichen Bewegung der ersten Jahrhunderte des Christentums. Nach der Entdeckung einer frühchristlichen Kathedrale im März 2025 bestätigten die Ausgrabungen anlässlich des Projekts Kaufmannshallen das Alter des Gebäudes und lieferten viele andere Überreste. Diese Konferenz, die von Fabien Blanc Garidel, Leiter des Archäologischen Dienstes der Côte d'Azur, und Élodie Sanchez, Operationsleiterin im Archäologischen Dienst der Côte d'Azur, moderiert wird, ist eine Gelegenheit, auf diese außergewöhnlichen Entdeckungen zurückzukommen.

Vence has just been the subject of major archaeological discoveries for the history of the city, but also for that of the territories of the Alpes-Maritimes and the ecclesiastical movement of the first centuries of Christianity. After the discovery in March 2025 of an early Christian cathedral, the excavations carried out on the occasion of the market hall project have confirmed the age of the building and yielded many other remains. Vence è stata oggetto di importanti scoperte archeologiche per la storia della città, ma anche per quella dei territori delle Alpi Marittime e del movimento ecclesiastico dei primi secoli della cristianità. Dopo il ritrovamento, nel marzo del 2025, di una cattedrale paleocristiana, gli scavi effettuati in occasione del progetto dei capannoni mercantili hanno confermato l'antichità dell'edificio e portato alla luce molti altri resti. Questa conferenza animata da Fabien Blanc Garidel, capo del servizio di Archeologia Nizza Costa Azzurra, e Élodie Sanchez, responsabile delle operazioni al servizio di Archeologia Nizza Costa Azzurra, è l'occasione per tornare su queste scoperte eccezionali.

Vence vient de faire l’objet de découvertes archéologiques majeures pour l’histoire de la ville, mais aussi pour celle des territoires des Alpes-Maritimes et du mouvement ecclésiastique des premiers siècles de la chrétienté. Après la découverte en mars 2025 d'une cathédrale paléochrétienne, les fouilles réalisées à l’occasion du projet de halles marchandes ont confirmé l’ancienneté de l’édifice et livré bien d'autres vestiges. Cette conférence animée par Fabien Blanc Garidel, chef du service d’Archéologie Nice Côte d’Azur, et Élodie Sanchez, responsable d’opération au service d’Archéologie Nice Côte d’Azur, est l'occasion de revenir sur ces découvertes exceptionnelles.

Vence ha sido objeto de importantes descubrimientos arqueológicos para la historia de la ciudad, pero también para los territorios de los Alpes Marítimos y el movimiento eclesiástico de los primeros siglos del cristianismo. Tras el descubrimiento en marzo de 2025 de una catedral paleocristiana, las excavaciones realizadas con motivo del proyecto de los almacenes han confirmado la antigüedad del edificio y entregado muchos otros vestigios. Esta conferencia, animada por Fabien Blanc Garidel, jefe del servicio de Arqueología Nice Côte d'Azur, y Élodie Sanchez, responsable de operaciones en el servicio de Arqueología Nice Côte d'Azur, es la ocasión para volver sobre estos descubrimientos excepcionales.
