The Geneva Section of the Touring Club Switzerland invites you to a guided tour of Onex, led by René Longet, former mayor of the commune. This event is part of a series of cultural activities offered throughout the year, aiming to highlight the heritage and living memory of the canton.
On Saturday, May 3, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM, this unique walk will intertwine urban history, nature, and civic engagement. Following a route that connects emblematic spaces—from the café La Cité Fleurie to the Town Hall—you will uncover the behind-the-scenes development of Onex, the social, ecological, and urban challenges it has faced, and its future projects.
Throughout the journey, various local personalities will share their perspectives and experiences related to communal engagement, sustainability, and neighborhood life. A convivial meal at the Evaux Sports Center is also planned to extend the discussions.
This activity is open to all, upon registration. It is intended for both residents of the canton and individuals interested in local territorial dynamics.

La Section genevoise du Touring Club Suisse vous invite à une visite commentée d’Onex, en compagnie de René Longet, ancien maire de la commune. Cette sortie s’inscrit dans une série d’activités culturelles proposées tout au long de l’année, destinées à valoriser le patrimoine et la mémoire vivante du canton.
Samedi 3 mai 2025, de 9h à 16h30, cette balade originale mêlera histoire urbaine, nature et citoyenneté. À travers un itinéraire qui relie des espaces emblématiques – du café La Cité Fleurie à la Mairie – vous découvrirez les coulisses du développement d’Onex, les défis sociaux, écologiques et urbains qu’elle a traversés, ainsi que ses projets d’avenir.
Plusieurs personnalités locales interviendront au fil du parcours pour partager leur regard et leurs expériences autour de l’engagement communal, de la durabilité et de la vie de quartier. Un repas convivial au centre sportif des Evaux est également prévu pour prolonger les échanges.
Cette activité est accessible à toutes et tous, sur inscription. Elle s’adresse autant aux habitantes et habitants du canton qu’aux personnes intéressées par les dynamiques territoriales locales.
