Die Manufacture de Strasbourg ist der Ort einer Pionierorganisation für die Tabakherstellung, die spezialisiertes handwerkliches Know-how und integrierte technische Geräte miteinander verbindet. Das Gebäude der Fabrikationshalle in Straßburg gilt als Prototyp der Manufaktur «Eugène Rolland»: ein architektonisches Modell mit einem regelmäßigen Grundriss, das die verschiedenen Funktionen (Röstung, Reiben usw.) nach dem Industrialisierungsprozess organisiert, der dann stattfindet. Das Treffen bietet die Möglichkeit, über die Architektur dieses historischen Ortes zu erzählen.

The Manufacture de Strasbourg is home to a pioneering organization in tobacco manufacturing, combining specialized manual know-how and integrated technical devices. The building of the Strasbourg factory is considered as the prototype of the "Eugène Rolland" factories: an architectural model with a regular plan organizing the different functions (roasting, grating, etc.) according to the industrialization process that then takes place. The meeting proposes to tell about the architecture of this historical site.

La Manufacture de Strasbourg est le lieu d’une organisation pionnière de la fabrication du tabac, associant savoir-faire manuels spécialisés et dispositifs techniques intégrés. Le bâtiment de la manufacture de Strasbourg est considéré comme le prototype des manufactures « Eugène Rolland » : un modèle architectural avec un plan régulier organisant les différentes fonctions (torréfaction, râpage, etc.) selon le processus d’industrialisation qui se met alors en place. La rencontre propose de raconter l’architecture de ce site historique.

El edificio de la fábrica de Estrasburgo es considerado como el prototipo de las fábricas «Eugène Rolland»: un modelo arquitectónico con un plan regular que organiza las diferentes funciones (tostado, rallado, etc.) según el proceso de industrialización que se pone en marcha.
