Commemorations of the Ascq Massacre: free visits to the Ascq 1944 Memorial
Sunday, April 02 from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm, for the 79th commemorations of the Ascq Massacre, the Memorial opens its doors free of charge with a specific program.

Sunday, April 02 from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm, on the occasion of the 79th commemorations of the Ascq Massacre, the Memorial opens its doors free of charge with a specific program. A procession is formed from 11am to pay tribute to the Massacred. Meet in front of the town hall of Ascq.
- Guided tour of the Memorial at 2:30 pm and 4:30 pm (without reservation)
The Memorial is dedicated to civilians and reflects on their fate during the war. Discover with our guide the 6 themed exhibition spaces that allow to place the event in its historical context.
- Guided tour at 3:30 pm (without reservation)
The guided route through the streets of Ascq takes you to the highlights of the Ascq Massacre. To understand the course of the tragedy that affected 86 civilians, innocent men. Stops in front of some houses make it possible to apprehend the dread experienced by the population of Ascq. The route also shows how the memory of the event is inscribed throughout the village.
- Graff and War Exhibition
Works made by urban graphic art figures to raise awareness of the history of the two world wars. An original exhibition on two sites: the Flers Castle Museum and the Ascq 1944 Memorial.

Dimanche 02 avril de 14h30 à 17h30, à l'occasion des 79èmes commémorations du Massacre d'Ascq, le Mémorial ouvre ses portes gratuitement avec une programmation spécifique.
Un cortège se forme dès 11h pour rendre hommage aux Massacrés. Rendez-vous devant la mairie d'Ascq.
- Visite guidée du Mémorial à 14h30 et 16h30 (sans réservation)
Le Mémorial est dédié aux civils et apporte une réflexion sur leur sort pendant la guerre. Découvrez avec notre guide les 6 espaces d'exposition thématisés qui permettent de replacer l'événement dans son contexte historique.
- Parcours guidé à 15h30 (sans réservation)
Le parcours guidé dans les rues d’Ascq emmène sur les lieux marquants du Massacre d’Ascq. Pour comprendre le déroulement de la tragédie qui a touché 86 civils, des hommes innocents. Des arrêts devant certaines maisons permettent d'appréhender l'effroi qu'a connu la population d'Ascq. Le parcours montre aussi comment la mémoire de l’événement est inscrite dans l'ensemble du village.
- Exposition Graff et Guerre
Des œuvres réalisées par des figures de l’art graphique urbain pour sensibiliser à l’histoire des deux conflits mondiaux. Une exposition originale sur deux sites : le Musée du Château de Flers et le Mémorial Ascq 1944.

Zondag 02 april van 14:30 tot 17:30 uur, ter gelegenheid van de 79ste herdenking van de Ascq Massacre, opent het Memorial zijn deuren gratis met een specifiek programma. Er wordt een processie gevormd vanaf 11 uur om hulde te brengen aan het bloedbad. Ontmoet u voor het stadhuis van Ascq.
- Rondleiding door het Memorial om 14:30 uur en 16:30 uur (zonder reservering)
Het Memorial is gewijd aan burgers en reflecteert over hun lot tijdens de oorlog. Ontdek met onze gids de 6 thematentoonstellingsruimten die het evenement in de historische context plaatsen.

De begeleide route door de straten van Ascq brengt u naar de hoogtepunten van de Ascq Massacre. Om de loop van de tragedie te begrijpen die 86 burgers, onschuldige mannen, heeft getroffen. Stops voor sommige huizen maken het mogelijk om de angst van de bevolking van Ascq aan te pakken. De route laat ook zien hoe het geheugen van de gebeurtenis in het hele dorp is gegraveerd.
