Chocolate is often presented as a Swiss speciality par excellence, despite the fact that one of its key ingredients is cocoa. This workshop will focus on the senses, looking at the different stages in the production of cocoa and the issues involved in its production and consumption. When your taste buds, sense of smell and touch come together, you can discuss and question the different ways of producing and consuming one of the foods most loved by young and old alike: chocolate.
11am, 2pm, 3pm, 4pm: Opening a fresh cocoa pod
Speaker: This workshop is led by Fabien Coutel from Treegether.
This event takes place on the first Sunday of the month, so it's free and there's no need to register beforehand.
Through this series of 'think and act' events, we hope to help you tackle the urgent issue of climate change through the prism of MEG's specific characteristics. By tackling themes such as green colonialism, care, repair, food, clothing and the transmission of knowledge and know-how, we hope to make the impact that our everyday actions can have on the environment more perceptible, and thus question our relationship with it.

Le chocolat est souvent présenté comme une des spécialités suisses par excellence malgré que l’un de ses ingrédients phare soit le cacao. Lors de cet atelier, ce sont les sens qui sont mis à l’honneur pour mieux revenir sur les différentes étapes de fabrication du cacao, des enjeux de sa production et donc de sa consommation. Quand les papilles, l’odorat et le toucher s’invitent pour discuter et s’interroger sur les différentes manières de produire et consommer un des aliments le plus aimé des petit-e-s et des grand-e-s : le chocolat.
11h, 14h, 15h, 16h : Ouverture d’une cabosse de cacao fraîche

Cet événement se déroule dans le cadre du premier dimanche du mois, il est donc gratuit et sans inscription au préalable.
À travers cette série de rendez-vous «pour réfléchir et agir» nous souhaitons aborder avec vous les questions de l’urgence climatique par le prisme des spécificités du MEG. En abordant des thématiques telles que le colonialisme vert, le soin, la réparation, l’alimentation, l’habillement, ou encore la transmission des savoirs et savoir-faire nous souhaitons rendre perceptible l’impact que nos gestes quotidiens peuvent avoir sur l’environnement et ainsi questionner nos relations avec celui-ci.
