In this exhibition, the MEG explores the history of its collections linked to the colonial era. This exhibition is an invitation to reflect together on the fight against discrimination.

In its exhibition, the MEG explores the history of its collections linked to the colonial era. How did Geneva traverse the colonial period? In what way is the Museum of Ethnography a major cultural actor in the colonial context? What do its collections reveal? These questions lie at the heart of the new temporary exhibition at the MEG, "Remembering. Geneva in the Colonial World " where the journey examines the role of the MEG in a post-colonial society where echoes of the past, discrimination, and racism resonate.

2024 marks the commemoration year of the 10th anniversary of the MEG's new building, and to celebrate this event, the exhibition "Remembering. Geneva in the Colonial World " is free of charge.
