Natural area protected from 20 hectares, property of the Conservatoire du Littoral. The Garden of the Mediterranean Sea, conceived(designed) by Giles Clement, is an invitation to journey across the Mediterranean landscapes of world (Mediterranean Basin, the Canary Islands, Southern Africa, Australia, California, Chile) and landscapes with more arid or subtropic climate (Mexico, Asia, New Zealand, subtropic America). To discover this garden, it is to feel some some of the emotions felt(experienced) by an explorer botanist who measures the planet. Several buildings are present on property: the Farm, initial house of the first owners, was built between 1910 and 1912, before the Hotel of the Sea finished(ended) in 1921 like the winter villas of the XIXth century s. then the villa Rayolet in 1925\. On the spot: Restoring The Coffee(Café) of the Gardeners (cooking(kitchen) inspired by the gardens of the Mediterranean Sea and besides), specialised bookshop and ecological tree nursery.
