The three Senlis museums participate in the 40th edition of the European Heritage Days. They are open free of charge throughout the weekend. At the Museum of Art and Archaeology, you can discover the history of the territory as well as its emblematic painters, Thomas Couture and Séraphine Louis. The Musée de la Vénerie, unique in Europe, traces the history of this royal hunting practice. The Spahis Museum exposes and explains the history of these North African horsemen who held garrison in Senlis until 1962.

About the location

Musée d'Art et d'Archéologie, musée de la Vénerie et musée des Spahis
Place Notre-Dame 60300 Senlis

The museums, located in the historic center of the city of Senlis, in the south of the Hauts-de-France region, are inscribed at the heart of a particularly rich heritage device. Within a perimeter narrowly circumscribed by the 3rd century wall, there are monuments such as the cathedral and the remains of the old royal castle, witnesses of the royal presence in Senlis for a long time.
You can find: the Museum of Art and Archaeology, the Museum of Venaria and the Spahis Museum.
