Im heutigen Tunesien, wie anderswo auch, zieht die Dokumentation weniger Filmemacher an, aber sie hat es den kreativsten unter ihnen ermöglicht, originelle und aufschlussreiche Erfahrungen zu machen, indem sie dem Kino Filme entzogen hat, deren Fiktion eher dazu neigt, sich auszuleben.
Am Anfang der Geschichte des nationalen Kinos stellte sich die Dokumentarproduktion gerne in den Dienst der Aufwertung des Kulturerbes und tat sich mit der Fiktion zusammen, um eine nationale Erzählung zu schaffen. Aber seit etwa zwanzig Jahren hat sich die dokumentarische Geste allmählich der Gegenwart angenähert, und die nationale Ernüchterung hat dazu beigetragen, dass sie stärker territorialisiert wurde, indem sie sich direkter mit dem Ereignis auseinandersetzte. Die Digitalisierung des Werkzeugs und die soziopolitischen Umwälzungen am Ende des Jahrzehnts haben das Phänomen beschleunigt. Der Rest wurde von der Filmschaffenden erledigt. So erleben wir eine Generation, die in ihrer überwiegenden Mehrheit von institutionellen Zwängen und medialen Erleichterungen befreit ist.
Wir haben dafür gesorgt, dass uns diese Auswahl ermöglicht, zu erkennen, wie sehr diese Generation mit mehr Freiheit und einer großen thematischen und formalen Vielfalt einige Schwingungen der Transformationen aufnehmen konnte, die die Realität dieses Landes tiefgreifend durchdringen.

In today’s Tunisia, as elsewhere, documentary appeals less to filmmakers but it has allowed the most creative among them to undertake original and edifying experiences, stripping cinema of the rags whose fiction is more inclined to wrap itself.
At the beginning of the history of national cinema, documentary production willingly put itself at the service of heritage enhancement, making common cause with fiction in a general impulse to build a national narrative. But over the past twenty years, the documentary gesture has gradually come closer to the present, and, with the help of national disenchantment, has become more territorialized by being more directly in tune with the event. The digitization of the tool and the socio-political upheavals at the end of the decade accelerated the phenomenon. Cinephilia did the rest. So we are witnessing a generation that has, for the most part, been freed from institutional servitude and media facilities.
We have made sure that this selection allows us to realize how much this generation has been able to capture, with more freedom and a great thematic and formal diversity, some vibrations of the transformations that go deep into the reality of this country.

Nella Tunisia di oggi, come altrove, il documentario attrae meno i cineasti, ma ha permesso ai più creativi di intraprendere esperienze originali ed edificanti, privando il cinema degli oripidi la cui finzione è più incline a farsi travolgere.
All'inizio della storia del cinema nazionale, la produzione documentaria si metteva volentieri al servizio della valorizzazione del patrimonio, facendo causa comune con la finzione in uno slancio generale di costruzione di una narrazione nazionale. Ma da una ventina d'anni, il gesto documentario si è progressivamente avvicinato al presente e, aiutata dalla disillusione nazionale, si è territorializzato più strettamente rispetto all'evento. La digitalizzazione dello strumento e gli sconvolgimenti socio-politici della fine del decennio hanno accelerato il fenomeno. La cinefilia ha fatto il resto. Stiamo quindi assistendo a una generazione liberata, nella sua stragrande maggioranza, dalle servitù istituzionali e dalle facilitazioni mediatiche.
Abbiamo fatto in modo che questa selezione ci permetta di realizzare quanto questa generazione abbia potuto cogliere, con più libertà e grande diversità tematica e formale, alcune vibrazioni delle trasformazioni che attraversano in profondità la realtà di questo paese.

Dans la Tunisie d’aujourd’hui, comme partout ailleurs, le documentaire séduit moins les cinéastes mais il a permis aux plus créatifs d’entre eux d’entreprendre des expériences originales et édifiantes, en dépouillant le cinéma des oripeaux dont la fiction est plus encline à se draper.
Au départ de l’histoire du cinéma national, la production documentaire se mettait volontiers au service de la valorisation du patrimoine, faisant cause commune avec la fiction dans un élan général de construction d’un récit national. Mais depuis une vingtaine d’années, le geste documentaire s’est progressivement rapproché du présent, et, le désenchantement national aidant, s’est davantage territorialisé en se coltinant plus directement avec l’événement. La numérisation de l’outil et les bouleversements sociopolitiques de la fin de la décennie ont accéléré le phénomène. La cinéphilie a fait le reste. Aussi assistons-nous à une génération affranchie, dans sa grande majorité, des servitudes institutionnelles et des facilités médiatiques.
Nous avons fait en sorte que cette sélection nous permette de réaliser à quel point cette génération a pu capter, avec plus de liberté et une grande diversité thématique et formelle, quelques vibrations des transformations qui traversent en profondeur la réalité de ce pays.

En la Túnez de hoy, como en todas partes, el documental seduce menos a los cineastas pero ha permitido a los más creativos entre ellos emprender experiencias originales y edificantes, despojando al cine de los oripeaux cuya ficción es más propensa a teñirse.
Al comienzo de la historia del cine nacional, la producción documental se ponía voluntariamente al servicio de la valorización del patrimonio, haciendo causa común con la ficción en un impulso general de construcción de una narrativa nacional. Pero desde hace unos veinte años, el gesto documental se ha ido acercando progresivamente al presente y, con la ayuda del desencanto nacional, se ha territorializado más, relacionándose más directamente con el acontecimiento. La digitalización de la herramienta y los cambios sociopolíticos de finales de la década aceleraron el fenómeno. La cinefilia hizo el resto. Por lo tanto, estamos ante una generación liberada, en su gran mayoría, de las servidumbres institucionales y de las facilidades mediáticas.
Hemos hecho que esta selección nos permita ver hasta qué punto esta generación ha podido captar, con más libertad y una gran diversidad temática y formal, algunas vibraciones de las transformaciones que atraviesan en profundidad la realidad de este país.
