The inventory of the heritage of the municipality of Gouex is coming to an end. On this occasion, discover on the Patrimoine et Inventaire Nouvelle-Aquitaine website some of its emblematic places.

The town of Gouex is located 7 km from Lussac-les-Châteaux and 44 km from Poitiers. Bordered to the east by the Vienne, it occupies the slopes of a wooded slope overlooking the Valley. The habitat is rather grouped along the slopes of the valley, between the village and some villages. It disperses when one arrives on the plateau to the west in isolated farms and hamlets. These lands, composed in particular of Brandes, were cleared until late in the 19th century. The contrasting landscapes between the banks of the Vienne, wooded and offering a vast panorama, and the agricultural plateau, with rich and diverse environments, make it a commune where it is good to live or rest, and this for a long time.
