The City of Villeneuve d'Ascq is organizing a commemorative gathering in tribute to Salvador Allende, on Friday, September 11, 2026 at 6:30 p.m., on the forecourt of the Town Hall.
Programme
From 6:30 pm onwards:
- laying of wreaths;
- speaking from the Cordillera association;
- intervention by the Mayor;
- readings, songs and militant rap expression by Fernando Sanchez.
The rally will continue at the Nelson Mandela House of Human Rights with:
- the presentation of the exhibition "Interior Landscapes" by the Chilean artist Valeria Aqueveque;
- the creation of a participatory fresco-graffiti around the project "Interior Landscapes of a People";
- a pot of friendship offered by the City.

Programme
À partir de 18h30 :
- dépôt de gerbes ;
- prise de parole de l’association Cordillera ;
- intervention de Monsieur le Maire ;
- lectures, chansons et expression de rap militant par Fernando Sanchez.
Le rassemblement se poursuivra à la Maison des Droits de l’Homme Nelson Mandela avec :
- la présentation de l’exposition « Paysages intérieurs » de l’artiste chilienne Valeria Aqueveque ;
- la réalisation d’une fresque-graff participative autour du projet « Paysages intérieurs d’un peuple » ;
- un pot de l’amitié offert par la Ville.

De stad Villeneuve d'Ascq organiseert een herdenkingsbijeenkomst ter ere van Salvador Allende op vrijdag 11 september 2026 om 6,30 uur, op het voorplein van het stadhuis.

Programma
Vanaf 18:30 uur:
- omhulsel;
- Spreken van de Cordillera vereniging;
- Tussenkomst van de burgemeester;
- Lezingen, liedjes en activistische rap expressie door Fernando Sanchez.
De rally wordt voortgezet in Nelson Mandela Human Rights House met:
- De presentatie van de tentoonstelling "binnenlandschappen" van de Chileense kunstenaar Valeria Aqueveque;
- De realisatie van een participerende fresco-graff rond het project "binnenste landschappen van een volk";
- Een pot vriendschap aangeboden door de stad.
