Welcome to La Sablière, located in Caluire and Cuire, in the heart of the Bissardon district, overlooking the balmes of St Clair and the Rhone Valley.
Let’s walk the winding alleys of the "Little Park of the Golden Head".**Guided tours, on registration only by email, with two appointment times possible: 9H30 or 14H. The visit lasts 2H-2H30 maximum.**Please indicate in your registration email the names and surnames of the people who accompany you.

The first traces of this property date back to the 14th century! Since then, it has been variously exploited: sometimes for income from the vineyard, sometimes as a house of the fields in the hands of bourgeois or aristocratic families and finally as a permanent dwelling for rich silky Lyonnais from the 19th century.
Didier Petit de Meurville (1793-1873), owner of a Lyons manufacture for church ornaments, had the present bourgeois house built while developing the first English gardens. There he received a series of personalities: the Duke of Montmorency-Laval, Father Lacordaire, the exiled Spanish Carlists, ...
In 1849, it passed into the hands of Jean-Barthélémy Chazottier (1804-1891), who came from a family of peasants in Brindas, who rose, by his own merit, the ranks of the social hierarchy thus becoming a rich merchant in the trade and the united velvet manufacture. The English house and gardens were then completely redesigned.
