The Parc de la Hardouinais covers an area of about 3 hectares.
This park is located in Saint Launeuc in Central Brittany, near Rennes and Loudéac in a wooded setting. The Domaine de La Hardouinais is a private property. The buildings and park were built and landscaped during the 18th century. Mentioned as early as 1570, this domain is taken over by Jacques Doisseau (1682-1701), lord of Poulancre, then becomes the property of the family of Saint-Pern. This family already owns the Vaublanc forges located in Plémet (22) at that time. It was in 2015 that David Le Bars, the chief gardener, first rehabilitated the vegetable garden, named “reenchanted vegetable garden”, then the park as a whole.
Today a marked discovery trail in the park is open to the public. It extends over a distance of 3.7 km, accessible to people with reduced mobility. It presents the Breton flora, modern and contemporary sculptures with in culminating points: a set of remarkable trees (an alignment of bald cypresses
