In this journey, the five senses each associated with an organ (sight, hearing, smell, touch and taste), connect us to life in allow us to perceive the world around us. We will deal with what can be likened to a sixth sense: proprioception, which makes it possible to specify to the brain the position of the body in space through a «module» to be crossed in this garden and/ or the kinesthesia, sense of movement, form of sensitivity which, independently of sight and touch, provides specific information on the position and movements of different parts of the body.
This landscaped garden of 100 square meters was designed by Emilie Graham, landscaper of the Ecole Supérieure du Paysage de Bordeaux, which she realized in 2014.
This garden combines harmony and the search for meaning. The flowering is spread from April to September with a beautiful wall of red roses. Daylilies, hydrangeas and anemones wrap the garden in warm colors from spring to late summer. The mineral soil consisting of waves of slabs of the Lot and pebbles of the Célé is surrounded by metallic voliges with rounded shapes to break the straightness of this long square.
Being blind, in order to locate myself in my movements, I vertically put shale bars in different positions. These trays are arranged geographically and respond to each other.
There is also a metallic fountain with a moon and sun.
You will also discover the crossing of underground rivers. The garden is presided over by a five-pointed star sign of the Pythagoreans and cathedral builders. You will also see the eye of Horus highlighted by Champollion in this noble city. Finally we will try to sublimate the senses in your discovery.
