At the foot of the massif of Belledonne, the museum evokes the birth of the hydropower and pays tribute to the men(people) who participated in this adventure, at the source of major technological and economic development. Installed(Settled) in the house marked by the Art nouveau of the innovative engineer Aristide Bergès, this exceptional commemorative site mixes(involves) subtly arts, sciences and techniques. A big(great) park surrounds the House Bergès. Compound(Made up) of a terrace garden and a meadow lined by a path of plane trees, it offers different points of view on buildings(ships) and environment and establishes(constitutes) an extension of the route(course) of visit. In the course of paths are exposed(explained) monumental hydraulic machines which were at the heart of the functioning of factories, in particular of stationery Bergès. The most spectacular said "turbine umbrella" is re-installed(re-settled), after restoration(catering), under the "hall(market) Bergès", beside two défibreurs were saved from the old(former) factory.
