Did you say nightmare? Here, the garden transforms bamboo into a dream. First interested in multiple plants, Michel Bonfils created a nursery dedicated to the species from 1989\. It gradually replaces the aging or poorly productive walnut trees of the property, and completes its collection through exchanges with botanical gardens or enthusiasts from Europe and China. Like many gardeners, before taking an interest in it, he only knows the tracing bamboos. However, the term refers to thousands of varieties of plants that have common characteristics (persistent foliage, underground rhizomes, cyclic flowering...), but a different aspect. Today, the garden has more than 240 varieties including four generic collections recognized by the Conservatory of Specialized Plant Collections (CCVS) as 'National Collection'. This site tells the mysterious story of bamboo.
