Trained in interior architecture - Designer at the EEGP d'Angers, Audrey Arnault and Manel Dridi dedicated their diploma project to the rehabilitation of the old slaughterhouses of Thouars. Entitled "Ex Morte Vita", their project relies on the history of the building to reveal its potential and offer it a new life.
Their approach is to preserve and enhance existing architectural elements, while integrating new uses related to the circular economy: resource center, repair workshop, shared kitchen, reading area and shared garden.
The project thus transforms an old place associated with death into a living space, open and turned towards transmission, sharing and reuse.
