The Peter Kernel project is first and foremost a philosophy put at the service of free and captivating music in its ability to combine high standards and clarity in the accuracy of its melodies. Far from the technical demonstrations linked to virtuosity, the duo excels in their poetic lo-fi creation. What if magic could just resurface at the sources of a production on a human scale? With Peter Kernel, utopia suddenly becomes reality.

For more than ten years, the duo Peter Kernel has been giving life to a hybrid musical object drawing its flesh from a tightrope walker, rebellious and instinctive DIY state of mind. In four albums, the group has already built up its own punk galaxy, the heady melodies happily confronting the (happy) accidents encountered in the studio. Inspired creators, they also put their fusional science of musical enjoyment at the service of other projects via their label On the Camper Records.

Le projet Peter Kernel, c’est d’abord une philosophie mise au service d’une musique libre et captivante dans sa capacité à allier exigence et clarté dans la justesse de ses mélodies. Bien loin des démonstrations techniques liées à la virtuosité, le binôme excelle dans sa poétique de création lo-fi. Et si la magie pouvait justement resurgir aux sources d’une production à taille humaine ? Avec Peter Kernel, l’utopie devient subitement réalité.

Depuis plus de dix ans, le duo Peter Kernel donne vie à un objet musical hybride puisant sa chair dans un état d’esprit DIY funambule, frondeur et instinctif. En quatre albums, le groupe a déjà constitué sa propre galaxie punk, les mélodies entêtantes se confrontant joyeusement aux (heureux) accidents rencontrés en studio. Créateurs inspirés, ils mettent aussi leur science fusionnelle de la jouissance musicale au service d’autres projets via leur label On the Camper Records.
