Free or guided tour of the Saint-Pierre de Noueilles church
Guided tour of the parish church of Saint-Pierre, exterior and interior, on Sundays. The building (1st half of the 19th century) is equipped with a bell tower-wall style «comb», rebuilt in 1851. Three bells are housed, the oldest of which dates from 1867 and was listed as a Historic Monument in 1914. Rare fact, two of these bells, characteristic works of the Toulouse founder Louison, can still operate in «revolving flight»: perhaps we will have the chance to see (and hear) them turn (subject). A tradition in the process of disappearing, at the rate of electrification campaigns for rural bell towers…
Inside: two large canvases from the early nineteenth century, a Way of the Cross, two chapels, tribune, beautiful choir woodwork...
From the church: a short walk of less than 2 hours (free) is proposed, on the "Boucle des neuf brebis". This tour allows you to discover the exteriors of two other village churches: Issus and Pouze.
