The museum presents the art of the West from the Middle Ages to 1848, as well as the civilizations that preceded and influenced it. His works are divided into eight departments: Oriental antiques, Egyptian antiques, Greek, Etruscan and Roman antiques, and since the end of antiquity, arts of Islam, painting, sculpture, objects of art and graphic arts.
