Eighteen years after its first edition in 2006 and an exemplary route in several cities of the world, the textile returns to the Tripostal on 6,000 m2 with the exhibition Textimoov! , sixth edition of Futurotextiles. New times, new inventions, habits have changed but engineers, creators are always precursors and invent the world of tomorrow.
Aimed at a wide audience, the exhibition, entirely new, will stage the most recent discoveries and trends in textiles from around the world, giving priority to France, the Hauts-de-France Region, the European Metropolis of Lille and our Belgian neighbors. It will cross the most recent scientific technological innovations with artistic creation in all its forms.
This new edition of Futurotextiles will be connected with the Olympic and Paralympic Games of Paris 2024 and benefits from the label of Cultural Olympiad.
Sport, as an actor and source of innovation, will link the artistic and scientific world to that of the company.
Sport and innovation are intimately linked. The first offers a wide field of expression to the second to optimize the performance of the professional or amateur athlete and provide even more comfort. From ancestral know-how to new high-tech practices, the exploratory field is immense.
In a few decades, the Earth will have 11 billion inhabitants. How will our grandchildren live? Real and virtual will mingle. Environmental issues will completely punctuate daily life and the Moon and planet Mars have already hosted some colonies.
A trademark of Futurotextiles, the exhibition will create a dialogue between industrial prototypes and new materials with artistic creations based on references from the world of sport and urban cultures. The corporate and artistic worlds will showcase new discoveries and the latest trends in textiles.

About the location

Le Tripostal
Avenue Willy Brandt, Lille
  • Nord
  • Hauts-de-France
Built in the 50s to sort the mail of the Lille Metropolis, then converted into a cultural place on the occasion of Lille 2004, European Capital of Culture, the Tripostal has become a major space of contemporary creation. Without being an art center or a museum, it is a place of art and life, located in the heart of the city, between the stations Lille Flandres and Lille Europe. It has three shelves of 2000 m² each, which gives it an excellent scenographic flexibility. It is also a place of performance and celebration, with a space for children, a shop/bookshop and a bar/restaurant.
Major exhibitions hosted by lille3000 in recent years include “La Route de la Soie / Saatchy Gallery ” in 2010, “Happy Birthday / Galerie Perrotin” in 2013, “Passions Secrètes / Collections privées flamandes” in 2014, “Séoul, vite, vite” & “You need to change your life” in 2015, “Performance! / 40 years of the Centre Pompidou» in 2017 or «Eldorama» in 2019.
