Demonstrations in Geneva: international solidarity on display
From the end of the 1960s onwards, Geneva witnessed a wave of international solidarity debates, festivals and street demonstrations. What were the driving forces: anti-imperialism, a humanitarian perspective or support for the emancipation of peoples? The discussion will be based on a selection of militant posters (1968-1985) held by the Bibliothèque de Genève, the Archives contestataires and the Collège du travail.
In partnership with the Festival Histoire et Cité, the Archives contestataires and the Collège du travail.
Speakers: Nuno Pereira, Florian Rochat
Moderator: Mirjana Farkas
Duration: approx. 45 min, followed by a discussion
