Contemporary architecture in the country of Mauges

Presentation of the inventory work carried out by Cristina Barrios - architect and Yan Gauchard - author, fruit of their residence of architecture and writing.
Cristina and Yan combine their skills to highlight and tell stories of both remarkable and ordinary constructions that constitute and forge a cultural wealth inseparable from the territory of the Mauges.
After several weeks of surveying and meetings in the territory, you will discover the places that marked them and the story they make.

• the architecture and writing residency engages Yan Gauchard writer and Cristina Barrios architect from June to December 2024 in a sensitive and subjective inventory of contemporary architecture in the Mauges. Guided by the objective of accompanying inhabitants in the appropriation of their architectural heritage, a book gathering stories, drawings and maps will share this inventory work and open a cycle of educational actions for the inhabitants.
