Solitude s is an attempt to be landscape, to be wild men and not modern. We do not reject modernity, but there are enough who take charge of it, so we want to become wild men. Why become? Because we were taught everything to be modern but we were taught nothing to be wild. What drives us is nothing but a deep sense of freedom. We disengage from fears, go beyond what is visible. Live freely in body and mind, in space and time. But how? Starting with a simple gesture, walking. Then we walk freely and little by little we remove the layers, one after the other, which allows us to glimpse freedom. May we be wolf, be rock, be flower and if there is space be men. Solitude s is a kind of abandonment to gravity, time, our chains.
At the heart of this work is a quadrangular pyramid made of wood and metal with at the top a mat weighted by a stone, holding in imbalance on the tip. This apparatus, called balance, allows the acrobat to distort time, thanks to its circular movement and inertia.
Played live, electronic and organic sounds, broadcast in quadriphony, envelop the artists and the public in a common space. Together, they try to be landscape.
