Opened in October 1997 in Tourcoing, it is installed on the site of an old complex of popular distractions, opened from 1905 to 1977, from which Franco-Swiss architect Bernard Tschumi has built an entirely new building, while preserving the spaces of the old, widely acclaimed in France and abroad, as one of the most original works of contemporary architecture.
