Projection I Of Conquest - A film by Franssou Prendre
“From conquest confronts us with a page too quickly turned from the French national novel. Boldly, Franssou Pris brings together a community of complicit voices who read in a neutral tone a succession of archives (reports, testimonies, memories, considerations, historical, geographical, urbanistic, etc.). They recount the stages of the colonization of Algeria by France between 1830 and 1848 and draw the ideological landscape of a staggering annihilation enterprise.” Claire Lasolle
