There would be an abundance of artists and works in the world who tell us about fake news – these intentional creations of fake news. So much so that we could make an exhibition of it. Are you sure of that? And if all this was ultimately only fiction, that lie...
After a first visible occurrence from May 2021 to January 2022 in Paris, the EDF Group Foundation is partnering with La Condition Publique to propose a second version: FAKE NEWS 2 ART FICTION MENSONGE. Enriched with new works, it offers other possibilities for reading the subject, still as topical in 2023.
This exhibition invites us to question our own relationship with information, truth and deception, identity, history and current events, the media and the internet as well as social networks. Through the prism of their gaze, the artists take a step aside from reality, inviting us to consider the boundary, so fine, between the «true» and the «false».

Il y aurait en abondance, dans le monde, des artistes et des œuvres qui nous parlent des fake news – ces créations intentionnelles de fausses nouvelles. Au point que l’on pourrait en faire une exposition. En êtes-vous certains ? Et si tout cela n’était finalement que fiction, que mensonge…
Après une première occurrence visible de mai 2021 à janvier 2022 à Paris, La Fondation groupe EDF s’associe à La Condition Publique pour en proposer une deuxième version : FAKE NEWS 2 ART FICTION MENSONGE. Enrichie de nouvelles œuvres, elle propose d’autres possibilités de lecture du sujet, toujours autant d’actualité en 2023.
Cette exposition invite à questionner son propre rapport à l’information, à la vérité et à la tromperie, à l’identité, à l’Histoire et à l’actualité, aux médias et à internet comme aux réseaux sociaux. Par le prisme de leurs regards, les artistes font un pas de côté par rapport au réel, nous invitant ainsi à considérer la frontière, si fine, entre le « vrai » et le « faux ».

In co-productie en co-curatie met de EDF Group Foundation presenteert Condition Publique van 23 maart tot 16 juli 2023 de tentoonstelling FAKE NEWS 2 ART FICTION MENSONGE.

Er zou een overvloed aan kunstenaars en werken in de wereld die ons vertellen over nepnieuws – deze opzettelijke creaties van nepnieuws. Zozeer zelfs dat we er een tentoonstelling van konden maken. Weet u dat zeker? En als dit uiteindelijk alleen fictie was, die leugen...
Na een eerste zichtbare gebeurtenis van mei 2021 tot januari 2022 in Parijs, werkt de EDF Group Foundation samen met La Condition Publique om een tweede versie voor te stellen: FAKE NEWS 2 ART FICTION MENSONGE. Verrijkt met nieuwe werken, biedt het andere mogelijkheden om het onderwerp te lezen, nog steeds actueel in 2023.
Deze tentoonstelling nodigt ons uit om onze eigen relatie met informatie, waarheid en bedrog, identiteit, geschiedenis en actualiteit, de media, het internet en sociale netwerken in twijfel te trekken. Door het prisma van hun blik zetten de kunstenaars een stap van de werkelijkheid af en nodigen ze ons uit om de grens, zo fijn, tussen het «ware» en het «valse» te overwegen.
