During her first visit to the Manufacture, Christine Mathieu
was impressed by the diversity of forms and richness of
colors emanating from the coils of wires still present in the
reserves. They chose to take them. They became a material.
of choice to parry a silent army. These simulacres
of appearance, half-men, half-ghosts, evoke forms
of a strange ritual, in memory of a disappeared human activity.
