THE WOODEN WOLF (Folk, France)
The Wooden Wolf is the project of songwriter and guitarist Alex Keiling, whose universe mixes intimate folk, poetry and emotional intensity. Accompanied by a cello, a double bass, a slide guitar or a drum set, he offers free, sensitive and deeply-lived music.
Influenced by Leonard Cohen, Will Oldham or Jason Molina, The Wooden Wolf composes a refined folk where silence, space and melodies occupy an essential place.
His work has been praised by Les Inrockuptibles, Rolling Stone, France Inter and FIP, which highlight the strength of his writing and the uniqueness of his universe.
On the occasion of the festival Les Internationales de la Guitare – Sud de France, he will present tracks from his new album Indigo Prayers, a work that explores the suspended moments "between dog and wolf", where the light of twilight reveals the deepest emotions.
An invitation to a musical journey full of authenticity, delicacy and power.
This concert promises an intimate experience where the guitar becomes the main thread of a folk at once luminous and contemplative.
An exceptional concert to discover in the intimate setting of Mrac Occitanie in Sérignan.

Having located at the heart of the Region Occitania / Pyrenees-Mediterranean Sea, at the edge of the Mediterranean Sea, the regional Museum of contemporary art, installed(settled) in the city of Sérignan, is an inescapable(major) artistic and tourist place. He presents temporary exhibitions(exposures) and permanent collection, asserts(affirms) strong artistic choices(selections), supports French artists as well as international and invents new forms of mediation in art. The museum, inaugurated in September, 2006 and managed by the Region since 2010, is installed(settled) in an old(former) wine-making cellar. Exhibition halls present big(great) volumes bathed by natural light. In this convivial and bright atmosphere, different spaces offer to the visitors a rich and manifold route(course): a cabinet(office) of graphic arts, spaces of exhibition(exposure) and a bookshop-shop which proposes a wide choice(selection) of catalogues of exhibition(exposure), of books(pounds) of artists and original publishing(editions).
Daniel Buren, with work "Rotation" fitted tightly round all of the museum by putting colours on all the glass parts(parties) creating visual effects so inside as outside the museum. " The Femmes fatales ", big(great) fresco of ceramics, of the Icelandic artist Err ó, is installed(settled) on the external facade of the museum. Since May 20th, 2016, this set(group) is increased by a permanent work of Bruno Peinado which proposes, on the facade of extension, a masterly installation like an open-air museum.
2016 is the year of a new development for Mrac with the unveiling of an extension of the museum which carries its area about 3 200 m ². This large-scale project allows to offer new spaces for collections and temporary exhibitions(exposures) as well as real reserves and welcome areas rethought and renewed.
