Der Bahnhof von Metz wurde 1908 eingeweiht, als die Stadt noch zum Deutschen Kaiserreich gehörte.
Sowohl ultramodern als auch monumental war sie eine Antwort auf militärische Herausforderungen. Doch mit ihrem romanischen Kirchenstil und ihren zahlreichen Skulpturen präsentiert sie sich auch als Bilderbuch und Einladung zur Reise.
Für die Tage des Kulturerbes wird sie ausnahmsweise einige Bereiche enthüllen, die normalerweise der Öffentlichkeit nicht zugänglich sind, und so einen diskreteren Teil ihrer Geschichte offenbaren.

Metz station was inaugurated in 1908, at the time when the city was part of the German Empire.
Both ultra-modern and monumental, it responded to military challenges. Yet, with its appearance of a Romanesque church and its many sculptures, it also presents itself as a picture book and an invitation to travel.
For the Heritage Days, it will exceptionally unveil some spaces usually closed to the public, thus revealing a more discreet part of its history.
