As early as 1747, an archivist was hired to sort and classify the files from all the divisions of the canal, transported by post boat which ensured regular rotations between Toulouse and Agde. In 1750, a first depot was built at Port Saint-Étienne.
Waterways of France, manager of the Canal du Midi invites you to discover this building, a real remarkable heritage of this property classified as a UNESCO heritage.
