The exhibition explores a phenomenon from the second half of the 19th century and the first third of the 20th century: Whistlerisme. This artistic movement of which James Abbott McNeill Whistler (1834-1903), an artist of American origin, is the figure, has the particularity of being born during his lifetime and of having invested international contemporary creation over a large period.
