Nicolas Le Clerre, professor of history and member of the Société philomathique will present the conference «A king in Verdun. When Charles X crossed the Meuse in 1828”.
A selection of objects belonging to the museum’s collections, as well as iconographic documents will illustrate the subject.
You can also enjoy a free tour of the collections and the exhibition "Correspondance(s)", a modeling and engobe workshop and an introduction to weaving looms.

This mansion of the XVIth century shelters the art museum and museum of History(Story) of the city of Verdun since 1932\. The presented collections are rich and various and allow to discover the history(story) of the region since the Prehistory till the beginning of the XXth century: archaeological objects, medieval sculptor, works of the painters Jules Bastien-Lepage and Hector Leroux, traditional furniture, ceramics, taques fireplace and militaria give rhythm to the route(course) of visit. The garden, dominated by a hundred-year-old maple, evokes the romantic spirit of the XIXth century.
