How were the coal and dust from the Méons mine transported? And what use were they used for the services of men?
Of an artisanal nature for the construction of houses, sandstone and pudding had to be transported using animal teams (oxen, draft horses).
Sandstone is a siliceous sedimentary rock resulting from the natural cementation of sand, and where quartz grains are dominant, used in the construction, encroachment and paving of roads and, when very fine, as a sharpening stone.
The Grand'Église de Saint-Étienne, in the Gothic Forézien style, is built of coal stoneware.
Observation of traces of blasting bars, remains of ancient extractions.
