Visit of the Ceccano Library in Avignon
Saturday 16 September at 3:30 pm: Conference: Joseph and René Girard, Avignon
Through the crossed eyes of representatives of a family of donors and a library recipient of a donation, come to discover how the heritage is constituted on a daily basis and never stops being alive. This meeting will be an opportunity to pay tribute to two major Avignon residents, Joseph Girard (1881-1962) and René Girard (1923-2015), whose collections have enriched and are preparing to further enrich the collections of the City of Avignon.
With Marie and Benoît Girard, great-grandchildren of Joseph Girard and nephews of René Girard, members of the scientific committee of the Society of Friends of Joseph & René Girard and Karine Klein, head of the Heritage department at Avignon Bibliothèques.

Come and discover the hidden treasures of the heritage collections kept at the Ceccano Library!
Visit a conservation store, which is only open to the public once a year during Heritage Days, and occasionally discover a «favorite» document from a member of the Heritage Department.
Free, free entry within the limit of available places (groups of 15 people maximum), duration 1h.
